If you're ever in the Vaughan Mills area, check out this nice spot in the plaza right across from the mall. You can either order a la carte, buffet style or have a thali. They have a range of different vegetarian dishes, and everything was fresh! There's a big wok with grilled mixed veggies, these are a must have. The server was great & always made sure we had what we needed. This was my first time at a vegetarian Indian restaurant, and definitely not my last.
Highlights: Baingan Bharta: Mashed eggplant w/ peas. I chose this as 2 of my 3 veggies :) -

I never wanted to post a review so bad!!!
If I could give zero stars I would.
So was in the area around 1:30pm today. I was craving chai as it was a gloomy day. Got a chai which took like 10 mins to make. It was one of the worst chais I havw ever had. And trust me I know ky chai. Way too much milk & no chai taste. I took a few sips & threw it away. It was $3 & yes I threw $3 a away but I couldn't even force myself to drink it. So much so that I am at a Second Cup right now as their chai latte is a million times better. I also bought a jalebi. It was dry. Jalebis have an oozy syrup inside & it was non existent. I have no idea why their reviews are so high. Maybe their food is good? I have no idea. -

Maybe it just isn't to my sweet tooth but after going up the 400 to try a restaurant I'd heard good things about my friend and I came in here for some dessert.
We stood in front of that big glass case & the super helpful lady took us through the various options, describing what each one was. Honestly, to me, most things that were decent tasted the same & after a few bites I didn't want to eat them either. Maybe that's the key to staying trim? Have sweets that you don't want to eat anymore after a few bites? I dunno.
Honestly, I'm only giving this place 3 stars because of how amazing and helpful the staff was and how beautifully kept the store itself is. Beyond that? I've literally no reason to ever walk in here again because not one thing I ate from there made my face light up with delight and drive me to want more. At least I tried it though, right?
Note: I did notice people sitting down at the tables for what I assume were full on meals but didn't go do so myself. Maybe it's better if you're not doing take-out? I don't know how it would be but can't discount the concept either. -

Felt like some choolay patooray on sunday and this was the closest indian restaurant. The place inside was nice and so were the people. The food tastes spot on (the channay could have been cooked a little bit more as it tasted tomatoe-y) but it was still pretty satisfying! I love that their plate comes with yogurt because that's always a must. I would definitely come here again to fulfill my cravings. The gajrella might have been some of the best i've ever had!

This store has a variety of vegetarian Indian food available. Staff was so helpful even when the restaurant was busy. If you crave Indian vegetarian food I highly recommend this store. Also, you can purchase a variety of sweets on the way out.
